About David Khan
Dave was born and raised in Calgary. He is a high-profile community activist committed to progressive values.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of British Columbia and a Juris Doctor in Law from the University of Toronto. He studied International-European human rights and constitutional law at Central European University (CEU) in Budapest.
Dave is a practising lawyer specializing in Indigenous rights and land claims litigation. Dave has represented clients at all levels of courts in numerous Canadian jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
For over a decade, Dave has been volunteering for both the Provincial and Federal Liberals. He served on the Calgary-Buffalo Constituency Board, and worked on numerous election campaigns since the 1990s.
In 2017 Dave represented for the Alberta Liberal Party in the Calgary Lougheed by-election.
In 2015 he was the Liberal candidate in the Calgary-Buffalo Provincial general election.
