The Stanley Cup Final is here—and the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce isn’t just watching from the sidelines. We’ve issued a friendly challenge to the Sunrise Chamber of Commerce in Florida: the losing Chamber CEO must wear the winning team’s jersey and share it with the world.

Doug Griffiths, President & CEO of the Edmonton Chamber, officially laid down the challenge to Sunrise Chamber CEO Brian Feuer—because what’s hockey without a little friendly competition?

“As the Oilers dominate on the ice, Edmonton is building momentum off it,” said Griffiths. “We’re Canada’s fastest-growing major city, a hub for innovation, energy, and economic opportunity—and this playoff run is shining a spotlight on all of it.”

For local businesses, the Stanley Cup Final is more than a game—it’s a boost in foot traffic, energy, and pride. From packed patios to Oilers-themed storefronts, Edmonton’s business community is all in.

“This isn’t just a sports moment—it’s an Edmonton moment,” said Griffiths. “We’re rallying behind our team, showcasing our city’s strength, and proving we can win on every front. And if all goes as planned, Brian Feuer will be proudly sporting blue and orange very soon.”

Let’s bring it home, Edmonton.
