Tell us about your business!

Buff Wax Spot® is a Black-owned, women-led waxing studio with multiple locations in the Edmonton area. We specialize in quick, clean, professional full-body waxing for all bodies in a welcoming, inclusive, judgment-free environment- all within thoughtfully designed, impeccably clean spaces that reflect care, intention, and pride. What sets us apart is our commitment to consistency, education, and experience, both for our clients and our team. We’ve built strong systems, invested deeply in staff training and culture, and cultivated a loyal client community through exceptional service, transparency, and trust. Beyond services, we’ve expanded into product development with our Buff Experts™ line and launched a membership program designed to create long-term value and meaningful client relationships. At its core, Buff Wax Spot is about helping people feel confident in their skin while building a sustainable, people-first business rooted in community.

How has being an Edmonton Chamber member impacted your business?

The Edmonton Chamber has helped increase our visibility within the local business community and provided opportunities for networking and connection, with potential for longer-term impact as relationships continue to grow.

What initiatives are you undertaking to better our Edmonton business community?

At Buff Wax Spot®, we contribute to Edmonton’s business community by intentionally building a sustainable, people-first local business. We prioritize hiring, training, and promoting locally, investing heavily in staff education, leadership development, and long-term career growth. We actively support other local businesses by sourcing from Edmonton-area vendors when possible, collaborating on community events, and participating in fundraisers, giveaways, and sponsorships that uplift women-led and community-based initiatives. Internally, we focus on strong operational standards, fair policies, and transparent leadership- creating stable employment and a positive workplace culture. By doing so, we aim to model what a healthy, scalable local business can look like while contributing to a thriving, connected Edmonton business ecosystem.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

We’re proud to be a Black-owned, women-led business contributing to Edmonton’s local economy and business community. Our focus remains on thoughtful growth, strong leadership, and creating spaces- both physical and professional- where people feel valued, supported, and confident.

Edmonton has a unique business community, and we want to highlight hardworking Edmontonians with a story to tell.

Each month, we feature two members in the Business In Edmonton Magazine and take an opportunity to share their story and find out why they enjoy doing what they do. Follow along each month as we feature members while helping amplify their stories on our website and social media platforms.

If you are interested in this opportunity to be highlighted as a Chamber Member, please complete our application form.

*Please note: application does not guarantee feature.
