The Edmonton Chamber of Commerce is commencing its Board of Directors' Expression of Interest process for 2027.
We are seeking experienced senior business leaders with a demonstrated commitment to community leadership and economic development. As the leading voice of Edmonton’s business community, the Chamber benefits from a Board that reflects the diversity of industries, perspectives, and experiences across our city.
We are committed to building a Board that brings together a broad range of skills, backgrounds, and leadership expertise to support the Chamber’s strategic priorities.
The following principles guide our nominations process:
- Transparency: Clear timelines, criteria, and opportunities for members to participate.
- Fairness: All members have an equal opportunity to be considered.
- Strategic Alignment: Board composition reflects Edmonton’s economy and the Chamber’s priorities.
- Diversity of Skills and Perspectives: A strong mix of capabilities and experiences across sectors.
- Succession Planning: Building a pipeline of future directors for continuity and strength.

Here is how this year’s process will unfold, leading to the Annual General Meeting on December 10, 2026:
- Friday, October 2 – Call for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) opens.
- Friday, October 16 at 12:00 p.m. & Tuesday, October 20 at 8:00 a.m. – Virtual Office Hours
- Monday, October 26 – EOIs Close
- Nov 2nd to Nov 13 – Board Committee reviews applications and conducts Interviews with candidates
- Thursday, December 10 (Time/Location-TBD) —Annual General Meeting and Election

- Technology & Innovation
- Transportation, Logistics, and Hospitality Leader
