As a member of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, I/we recognize that membership is a privilege, and brings with it some responsibility. Members will take all due action to ensure they act with fairness, integrity, and openness. Respect the opinions of others and treat all members with equality and dignity without regard to gender, race, colour, creed, ancestry, place of origin, political beliefs, economic status, religion, disability, age, or sexual orientation.
I/we understand and fulfill the membership undertaking and accordingly, committing to conduct business in accordance to:
1. Maintain the highest standards of ethics in rendering services and/or offering products/services for sale based on the members own knowledge and expertise;
2. Conduct all business and professional activities in a reputable manner, to reflect honourably upon the business community;
3. Respect the good reputation, profile, and status of the Edmonton Chamber, and represent accordingly;
4. Understand, support, and promote the Purpose, Vision, and Goals of the Edmonton Chamber;
5. Provide honest, skilled, and conscientious service to my/our customers.
6. Whenever reasonably possible, engage, participate and support in the events and activities of the Chamber;
7. Promote a safe working environment, free from harassment, abuse, or discrimination;
8. Play a role in the promotion, development, and enhancement of business and membership growth and activities within the Edmonton Chamber;
9. Refrain from publicly disparaging the business practices of fellow members, engaging in misrepresentation, or unethical practices;
10. Act in accordance with the laws, rules and regulations of Canada.
I/we understand that the failure to comply with the professional and personal obligations outlined above can result in the termination of my membership.
